SaitoHajime101's Hatsukoi Limited Manga Review

Rated: 8

A 32-chapter series, approx 6 to 8 volumes, depending how many chapters you put into a volume and how many pages the chapters are. It was a fun 32-chapters, but it could've definitely lasted alot longer. Whereas Ichigo 100% seemed to drag at points, this series seemed to have went too quick at times. Some people could disagree but I felt Kawashita-san could've done alot more with this series if she really wanted to. I like the ending but as I made mention in the story section, I had too many questions about what happened after the end. I really wished there was more.

By far my favorite chapters being the Valentine's Day 3-chapter arc, was simply amazing in discussion. It raised some interesting points that had me even wondering what I believed about that "holiday".

SaitoHajime101's Cardcaptor Sakura Tv Review

Cardcaptor Sakura

Rated: 6

Okay quite the number of issues to discuss. First area I like to cover is the length of the series and how episodic it really was. Now it seems like each episode connects right after another, but thats only true to an extent. It only connects when its running a current plotline that takes more than one episode. Aside from that its very episodic and it doesn't connect at all, especially when they're chasing Clow Cards for the first 20-something episodes. It didn't work well with this series that needed some constant reminders of what the plot was really about, not this consistent off-trackness it had going.

Second issue was the fact that the writers were looking for the theme to be love but they didn't quite make it clear enough until the second season.

SaitoHajime101's Myself; Yourself Tv Review

Myself; Yourself

Rated: 6

Overall a 13-episode series thats nothing but dark psychology. I will give this anime props in giving a decent ending despite the flatness of the characters. The characters stay somewhat static throughout the series but still allow for a decent ending. However this series has issues in comedy. I won't say it doesn't try and make you laugh to try and give you a breather inbetween extreme emotional distress situations, but it doesn't do much of anything because the jokes just kinda fell flat (like the lame jokes in this review, get my point). After reading this review with those random jokes, it did nothing to change the mood of the review so you, the reader, can catch yourself. Thats the same thing the series did. Thirteen episodes isn't enough to allow for something like that.

SaitoHajime101's Vandread Tv Review

Vandread

Rated: 8

Overall it was a nice 26-episode series, but there are a few things that bug me. First is the fact that they had to name the second half of the series "The Second Stage". When companies do that, it gives the misinterpretation that its a second season that has a time jump. There was no time jump here, it picks up where episode 13 ends. Another issue is that the character development is rather slow. Because of this slow development it makes some of the episodes you watch feel extremely stand alone. I mean the episodes connect to each other, but with slow development in the characters it feels as if you're watching each episode as if it was seperate from the story. Once the characters show signs of change does the series really feel like its one big story.

SaitoHajime101's K-On! Tv Review

K-On!

Rated: 7

Overall out of a 13 episode series, unfortunately it wasn't a great one. Their goal was to go to Budokan, but they settled for high school stage. I get the meaning behind it but it would've made the show better if they really did go to Budokan. Look at it this way, if they changed the show into a 26 episode series, using the first 15 or so, getting through high school while practicing and getting famous, then the last 10 or so, after graduation, getting to Budokan, it would've stayed true to a music-related story. They spent so much time on non-music related activities like a christmas party or studying, etc that the show didn't feel like it was related to music. Thats my major peeve with this show and unfortunately, in my opinion, its what broke this series.

SaitoHajime101's Clannad Tv Review

Clannad

Rated: 9

Well you have two seasons of Clannad with 22 episodes each, with of course 2 OVAs each. Now each season provides about 10 episodes of backstory for the supporting cast so if you're looking for main plot-related material, you'll have to suck it up and wait. The backstories were definitely worth the watch, but there were a couple that seemed a little drawn out, but easily overlooked because the characters themselves were interesting to watch when interacting with others.

There was plenty of comedic scenes (especially with Sunohara, Kyou, Akio, Tomoyo, and/or Okazaki involved), but as you head into the second season, it gets depressing very quickly, with no hope of any real comedic relief.

SaitoHajime101's Aizu Tv And Manga Review

Aizu

Rated: 9

The overall presentation of the anime was good for what it is. To me it was just a recap series of the manga and probably made to give the fans a way to see it in motion. I did like the directing style used. Each episode up til episode 4 was Teratani and Ichitaka talking about the old times. It really made them seem older and more mature during the scenes. I think it was a good choice to limit the series to only 6 episodes and an OVA. Going into this anime I was skeptical after the slight disappointment out of the Ichigo 100% anime, but I came out of it actually feeling better. To me its definitely a rewatch series especially if you don't want to reread all 15 volumes again.

Overall for the manga , the point was easily put across.
